Look What's Happening at Goodwin!

Chi Omega sorority sent 18 women to Goodwin on Friday, Oct 30 to celebrate Halloween with the students attending the Boys & Girls Club and Kaleidoscope after school programs. The activities included: toilet paper mummy races, face painting, trick-or-treat bag decorating, and making Oreo cookie spiders.

Frito Lay made a donation to the Boys & Girls after school program at Goodwin. The donation consisted of 12 winter jackets and sweatshirts to be distributed to the students who need them the most. Mr. Snyder, Ms. Smalls, and Ms. Huger are working together to identify these students.

Goodwin held a "Lights On After School" event on Monday, November 2,2009 at 5:30 p.m. The purpose of the event was to highlight the importance of quality and affordable after school programs for students. Several VIP's were in attendance including: Dr. Gepford, Dr. Washington, S.C. State Representative Chip Limehouse, and North Charleston Mayor Keith Summey.

The 5th grade flag football team played their first game against Midland Park last Saturday. Although we lost the game, we had several strong performances turned in by many players. Our next game is Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. against Chicora.
