Congratulations to Mrs. Tracy Lowry. She was recognized at the CCSD Board Meeting on November 9, 2009 for being an Outstanding Social Studies teacher.
Goodwin Elementary students Taylor Edwards, Conie Aguilar, and Brandon Ortega went to the Children's Museum of the Lowcountry on Friday, November 13. They painted a garbage can to show how Goodwin Elementary is helping the environment. They drew a picture of the Goodwin Gator dropping an item in a blue recycle bin which says "Goodwin Elementary Recycles."
The fifth grade flag football season ended with a cookout. Goodwin players showed consistent improvement through the weekly practices and games. Players from all the schools demonstrated the good sportsmanship and teamwork that this league was intended to promote.
